A Region on the Move

A Region on the Move

Located between the two major highways A8 (Karlsruhe-Stuttgart-Munich) and A81 (Heilbronn-Stuttgart-Singen), the Neckar-Alb region enjoys ideal connections to Europe’s extensive network of highways, enabling logistics companies to transport the region’s products quickly and reliably from A to B. Well-developed state roads like the B27 and B463 provide quick access to your highway of choice, opening endless possibilities for your next road trip or weekend getaway.

Rail connections, airports, Stuttgart trade fair center

Rail transport in the Neckar-Alb region leaves nothing to be desired. From here, both people and goods travel by rail, especially quickly to neighboring Stuttgart and from there to their destination.

The nearby Stuttgart Airport is also the gateway to the world for the Neckar-Alb region. Travelers reach the airport in just 20 minutes. From there, they can travel to over 100 international destinations without long waiting times. Around 55 airlines use the four terminals of Stuttgart Airport, and up to 400 aircrafts take off and land each day. Another international airport is important for the region: Bodensee Airport in Friedrichshafen. It is located in the border triangle between Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Regular connections to Frankfurt Airport also play a special role. The airports in Frankfurt and Munich are also easily accessible by car from the Neckar-Alb region; both are about 220 km or 2.5 hours away by car.

The Stuttgart Trade Fair Center is located in the immediate vicinity of the Neckar-Alb Region. For the export-oriented economy in the southwest of Germany, it functions more and more as an international hub. On more than 105,000 square meters of exhibition space, it presents more than 35 trade fairs per year as well as around 20 guest events. In addition, the exhibition center near the airport serves as a venue for congresses, conferences or company presentations. The short distance to the international trade fair is a great advantage for the export-strong region. The region also benefits from numerous overnight guests who can stay in and around Reutlingen or Tübingen at a lower price than directly in Stuttgart.
