A Region on the Move
The business location Neckar-Alb offers the kind of environment in which you’ll love to work and play, owing much of its notably high quality of life to a gorgeous landscape that has even been recognized by UNESCO for its unique, inimitable beauty. This lovely countryside is decorated with the mighty castles and enchanted palaces of old, and even holds natural treasures hidden deep below the earth. Limestone caves like the Nebelhöhle and Bärenhöhle in Bad Urach, for example, invite visitors to immerse themselves in a subterranean world of magic and fantasy.
Located between the two major highways A8 (Karlsruhe-Stuttgart-Munich) and A81 (Heilbronn-Stuttgart-Singen), the Neckar-Alb region enjoys ideal connections to Europe’s extensive network of highways, enabling logistics companies to transport the region’s products quickly and reliably from A to B. Well-developed state roads like the B27 and B463 provide quick access to your highway of choice, opening endless possibilities for your next road trip or weekend getaway.
Rail transportation in the Neckar-Alb region is a dream come true; from here, people and goods benefit from fast connections to the neighboring city of Stuttgart where they can catch connections to an endless number of destinations.
The nearby Stuttgart Airport serves as the region’s gateway to the world and can be reached in just 20 minutes. From there, travelers enjoy short wait times before starting their journey to over 100 international destinations. Approximately 55 airlines use the airport’s four terminals, with up to 400 planes taking off and landing every day. There's also another international airport that's of great importance to the region: Bodensee Airport in Friedrichshafen. Located directly on the border triangle between Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, it offers regular connections to Frankfurt's international airport. It's also easy to reach the airports in Frankfurt and Munich by car, with each located just about 220 km (or a 2 ½- hour drive) away from the Neckar-Alb region.
Another close neighbor to the region is Messe Stuttgart. This state-of-the-art trade fair and congress center plays an ever increasing role as an international hub for southwest Germany’s strong export economy. More than 35 trade fairs and 20 guest events take place on its more than 105,000 m² of exhibition space every year, while fairgrounds near the airport serve as a perfect venue for conventions, conferences or company presentations. The close proximity of the international Messe Stuttgart is a huge advantage to our business location, which also enjoys the pleasant side-effect of welcoming many overnight guests who prefer accommodations in Reutlingen or Tübingen over the more expensive Stuttgart.
